Seems to me that a part has gotten fried. Could potentially be the motherboard, the CPU, or the RAM. Although, the RAM is very unlikely.
I plan on grabbing a spare mobo and RAM from best buy today to diagnose the problem.

A burning smell is never good.
Swapping the mobo and ram are the best way to trouble shoot at this stage.
Could be the memory controller going, which means the CPU.
Let us know the results.
Been having trouble with my internet connection, haven't been able to access this site for a while.
Picked up a new stick of RAM from a local store (PS Best Buy's selection is pathetic), installed it and still no memory detected.
Next step is going to be to RMA the mobo and pray it's not the CPU that's bad.
My worry is not that the CPU is bad, my worry is that I've messed up the memory controller while trying to get the full 4 gb to work.
Although now that I think about it, even if that was the case the motherboard would have to be defective as well otherwise there would be no explanation as to why it wouldn't have just worked in the first place.
Your memory controller is intergrated in the CPU, so equals bad CPU.
Have you checked for mobo grounding points?
Maybe too late but would be good to know for your next mobo.
It's common for 4GB RAM and 2GB RAM cards to need adjustments to run stable. Defaults are set for the average users RAM, 2-4GB with 1GB cards. If the default settings were higher then many more people might be having issues.
Let us know your status.
That is the first thing to check.
Check for any wires running behind the mobo, discoloration or of coarse burn marks, anything coming through the back of the mobo mounting plate.
So first off: Supermassive necro.
I eventually tried my rig's CPU in my brother's motherboard, run perfectly stable. I figured out at this point it was almost definitely a motherboard problem, so I RMA'd it to ASUS (after a lot of time passed).
I just rebuilt the rig with the fixed motherboard (I assume it's the same one, asus didn't say if the replaced it or what). After a couple hours of gaming, had a random reboot. Ran Memtest over night (7 hours, no errors at all).
After a bit more gaming, another reboot. Finished off what I was doing and reinstalled the operating system fresh. Played another couple hours, computer completely locked up, had to force a reboot.
I can say for certain that it's not overheating, unless the computer is perceiving the temps wrong, as the CPU sits at 40 deg full load, and GPU at 70 deg full loaded.
Edit: At this point I'm getting rather frustrated with ASUS' apparently terrible RMA service. I'm sure it would help a lot if they could tell me if they actually REPLACED the board. I feel like just calling in and demanding a refund.

Sorry to hear your still having issues.
No dump files in your zip folder.
Looks like you are not set up to generate the mini dumps.
To ensure minidumps are enabled:
Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.
The other files gives some information.
Under "Problem Devices' in your System Information
And in 'Windows error Reporting: PNP driver not found. Not Available ACPI\ATK0110\1010110 The drivers for this device are not installed.

Check Device Manager for any yellow triangles, then check for drivers for anything that is flagged.
Windows start button right click 'Computer', click 'Manage', on the left click 'Device Manager'.
From your Perfmon report.
A lot of device drivers failing checks.
Check that all you drivers are up to date, do not use the CD that came with the motherboard, go to the Asus motherboard site and get them there.Code:Hardware Device and Driver Checks Failed Survey of Windows Management Infrastructure supported devices.
