    Unable to instal Avast Anti Virus


    Am using windows7 64-bit os.
    Am unable to instal any avast anti virus.only 4.8 version is getting installed but after installing when am restating it its getting BLUE SCREEN saying that uninstall the last s/w or hardware from the safe mode.


    When am installing the latest version its showing the message as.
    "AN error0(000000) has occurred.Last performed operation was :spawning"

    Please help out me.....!

    Hi abhichandan :)

    I had this problem some time ago in XP I would say you may have a corrupted installation of Avast Antivirus, you could try ..

    download Avast Uninstall Tool/Utility > avast! Uninstall Utility then start Windows in Safe Mode and run the uninstall utility (aswclear.exe) then click remove, restart your computer and you should be able to install the latest Avast.

Hello, Have finally convinced my son to take anti virus software seriously. Told him to try avast free which I use. He did, but removed it as he claims it slows his pc down significantly. Works fine on mine. Anyway, any suggestions as to why this might be ?
