Windows 7: BSOD win 7 x64

verify

I've been having a similar problem, except that I don't get the BSOD so frequently, probably once or twice a week about 10 minutes after starting W7 64-bit Pro.

I tried using verify as described in DeanP's first post. Windows then crashed during reboot! It then ran "startup repair" something I never knew existed, which did a system restore to a point about a day or so ago.

Crashing during boot up, and then asking if I want to run startup repair happens all the time for me. Just did this morning, but I didn't run it, and on second boot, it started up. I'm now trying to run the utilities posted. The video card one seemed to run fine. No instructions on how long to let it run.

I ran disk check on both my external drive, and my internal SSD. It found issues with the SSD (C: drive), but only one to start, then reboot. Then crash, then another blue screen on reboot, then it ran disk check again without me asking and it found a ton of issues. I have not run the memory checker, because it doesn't have an optical drive, and I don't have a usb key drive on me....i keep forgetting to bring one in.

This started out a month ago with a blue screen each morning, and then the rig would run great all day. This is now a huge pain, crashes though out the day, if I leave the box on overnight, it's always crashed when I get up the next morning. Dean, what would you recommend, I'm losing tons of productivity and wasting time of wonderful people like you. I could rebuild the OS, if you thought it was software, I can buy new hardware if I know what it is....but I can't keep on like this. Suggestions?

If SeaTools reports errors, then I would go and get a new hard drive. Backup your data and programs first.
Note   Note
If any of your programs uses serial keys. Then jot it down first before you backup.

I've removed the SSD and started using a standard internal HD. All blue screens are gone (two days). Thanks for all the help.

Spoke too soon. I've had two this morning. Does this dump file point to anything?

New hard drive. The problem almost seems worse after two days error free. I just ran disk check again, and it bluescreen during that process. That can't be good. Motherboard needs to be replaced?
