Windows Explorer is not responding (External HDD)

    Hi everyone!

I hope that I post in the right area.

    I`ve got a little problem.
I have an iOmega (LDHD-UP) 1 TB External Hdd and when it's connected and powered on, from time to time i get an error that says: Windows Explorer is not responding...
If i`m not using the hard drive, it is okay. Everything works fine. It`s doing so on every version of Windows 7 Ultimate x64. I mention that it works well on another computers with Windows XP for example. Even in Ubuntu 10.10 it works good.
On the iOmega official website i didn`t found anything about this.
I`ve been trying to format it (NTFS) with one partition.
Is there any solution for this?

Thanks and please excuse my bad grammar.

    Hi!

I`ve been testing it with HDTune..there`s no problem. i`ve noticed that even with the hdd disconnected, i`m still getting this error.
a few minutes ago i`ve finished installing w7 ultimate x64 version and i`m getting again this error.
it just freezes as in the capture: http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/9647/unledtms.png

do you know any solution? could be there any conflict with a driver or application?

    from event viewer:
The program Explorer.EXE version 6.1.7601.17514 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
