I just tried that also. I open it and it says Disk Not Found. Could something be preventing my hard drive from being detected?

Can you look to see if S.M.A.R.T. is enabled in the BIOS? If not, enable it; if you don't see it, leave it.

If S.M.A.R.T. is already enabled, try testing the drive on another system adding the HD as a secondary.

    I'm thinking so...

How do I check that? Probably a stupid question lol.

Speedfan could tell you: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

Look in the S.M.A.R.T. tab, see if the values are filled in.

I looked in the S.M.A.R.T. tab and nothing is filled in.

However I found this kind of interesting...

    My temperatures are:

    GPU: 31
    Temp 1: 39C
    Temp 2: 92C
    Temp 3: 37C
    Core: 32C

I find this really hard to believe. When I feel my PC, it isn't hot at all. Why would one temp be roughly 3x higher than the others? Maybe something is being overclocked?

That temperature represents a particular chip; perhaps one chip isn't being properly cooled? Check to make sure no dust has built up.

I've looked up your motherboard manual; please read section 3-7 for instructions on enabling S.M.A.R.T. for your drive.

Alright I've enabled S.M.A.R.T. but those disk checking tools still aren't working :/

There isn't any dust in my system either.

Could you check in Speedfan now, to see if the values show up for S.M.A.R.T.?

Hmm still nothing on Speedfan. I checked, and S.M.A.R.T. is definitely enabled.

I suggest you take the hard drive to a different machine, and test it there. It seems something is definitely going on there.
