    Back Again..Random BSOD's

I previously posted this https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...dom-bsods.html when this was last happening. Since then I had purchased a new video card. Same EVGA GTX 460 but this one is "SuperClocked" BSOD's started happening about 3 days ago. Is it really possible this new card is also bad? I've been running it fine for about 2 months now. As previously stated in last post Memtest86+ has been ran for over 10 passes (24 hours) with no errors. Nvidia gladly accepted my last GPU for an RMA saying it was a card "stability issue" but now im thinking it may be on my end. Please and thank you for the speedy responses like always.

Edit: Oh and also, all previously mentioned fixes have been ran including Driver Verifier.

You may try updating the graphics drivers:
    Code:
    nvlddmkm.sys Fri Jul 09 17:15:58 2010 (4C37918E)
    NVIDIA DRIVERS 266.58 WHQL

I see you have onboard graphics on your motherboard; try taking out the 460, and using the onboard graphics. That will show us if you have a problem with the GPU.

Took out the GPU. Thank you for the quick reply and will keep you posted on the status of the comp/ Another thought someone suggested is that the PSU isn't supplying enough power to the GPU and is thus causing it to burn out. Wondering what your opinion on that is.

The graphics card uses 160W; it seems you should be all set as far as power goes. I've used a power supply calculator, and being generous, I would suspect you need no more than a 500W PSU; your 600W PSU should do the trick, if it's in good condition. How old is the PSU?

A simple issue of underpowering won't cause a chip to burn out, although an otherwise faulty PSU could.

I see Prime95 has not been run yet; please run all three tests: https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html

Install the latest BIOS from here: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support-

You can see the 1601 version "fixes system stability"; the 1702 BIOS obviously includes the 1601 changes and the new one.

I have not yet ran Prime95 since the fresh install of windows (one of the many failed fixes of the issue) I did flash my bios to 1702, and received a BSOD a couple hours later. I am running out of ideas.

Please run Prime95 and let us know the results. Prime95 is a torture testing program for the RAM and CPU.
