Hi I was having BSOD every 1 min or so yesterday and I just gave up trying to fix them. This is how I fixed my problem, back up everything, install a fresh copy again then do all the updates straight after before installing any drivers. Make sure you do it through windows update and specifically SP1 update.

After that I updated all my drivers and I have been using my PC for more than 18 hours now not a single BSOD. I think the problem is due to nvidia drivers as that was the culprit for most of my BSOD. So good luck and try what I have said.

aman113- hi thanks for the comment. i have already done what you have done and mine does last for a while but it does always start again. which it has.

mgorman87- might try the repair install if there are definately no other options. at this moment in time i cant see if that would help that much because this is a very recent clean install.

DeanP- the BSODs have just started again today. 2 so far. reports attached. on the up side the perfmon report is not reporting poor performances of my hardware anymore (stopped after i ran prime95 for and 1.5 hours)

thanks for the continued help!

Run a system file scan - SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Run a disk check - Disk Check

Update these drivers

Code:
ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 12th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

Code:
nusb3xhc.sys Thu Apr 22 21:34:36 2010
nusb3hub.sys Thu Apr 22 21:34:35 2010
NEC Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (previous issues w/BSOD's)
Try disabling this device in device manager

thanks mgorman87

-ran sfc /scannow - no errors
-ran disk check - no errors
-updated the atk0110 driver and the asacpi.sys is date stamped from 2009
-disabled the NEC USB 3.0 Host Controller
-My Nvidia driver is the latest out.

did a PERFMON report after that and the hardware devices / device drivers test has still failed - it is attached
dont know if that means i will get more BSODs or not.

will let you know!
thanks again.

hey
so i went a solid 3 days without a hint of a bsod. even left my comp on all day while i was at work just to see if one popped up. i was just about declare it fixed then i come home today to a brand new bsod i have never seen before (happened while i was at work so comp was idle):

Modification of system code or a critical data structure was detected
STOP: 0x00000109

so here is what has changed on my comp since my last post.
-i put the rest of my RAM that i got back from being RMAed back in about 2 days ago (another 2X2GB dual channel kit the exact same as my other ram). before i even started my comp with it i memtested each new one for 4+ passes and then the whole lot together for 2+ passes. - no errors and no BSODs until now.
-the only other thing is that i installed a game (Battlefield bad company 2) last night.

BSOD report is attached

thanks!

caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.

Hi

The BSODs have started back in full. I have ran memtest86+ on all my ram for 8+ passes (12 hours) and got zero errors. BSOD report attached.

Thanks for the continued help!
