Ok I have done all that. I posted the new dumps hopefully correctly. What do I do now to figure out the problem?

    Dump blames SteelBus64.sys
I have no idea what SteelBus64.sys. If you know what software uses this driver - please remove it. If not - rename it.
       Note
Renaming Drivers: Create a System Restore Point using System Restore. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and find SteelBus64.sys. Rename .sys to .BAK and reboot the system - the driver will not load. This method will break whatever software uses this driver. Then you can uninstall that software.

Second keyboard I have sent back for a complete replacement. The right spacebar button stops to function. This is unacceptable. I do not understand how this can happen so many times. It worked then stopped working only the right side spacebar. EMERGENCY I'M NOT WAITING ANOTHER 15 DAYS FOR A KEYBOARD!!!

    Hey Kyle,

I can only see this ticket being your only ticket. Did you use another account in the past? Mike should be with you tomorrow.

Very sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your product - we definitely want to get you up and running, so I've transferred this ticket to Mike.

He should get back to you within the next 2-3 business days.

    Regards,

    John

I RMA'd the first keyboard directly through newegg.com I am NOT dealing with returns anymore. Your turn to fix the problem. I can not be another two weeks without the product.

    Hello Kyle,

This means that the keyboard is not communicating with the driver. We've released a new version of the SteelSeries Engine which should prevent these issues.

Please take the following steps to re-install your SteelSeries Engine software. note: this process will remove any custom profiles that you have created

    1) Ctrl-alt-delete to access your task manager. Under the process tab, find SSEngine.exe, select it, and end process

    2) Uninstall the SteelSeries Engine software through control panel -> programs & features / add-remove programs. When prompted to keep custom profiles, select no.

    3) Open your start menu and in the search bar, type: %appdata% and hit enter. In the folder that it opens, find the SteelSeries folder and delete it. Note: If you have other additional SteelSeries devices with software, open this SteelSeries folder and delete the SteelSeries Engine folder.

    4) Unplug your SSE device and wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in

    5) Download the latest SteelSeries Engine software here (please do not rely on a previous download - when prompted, be sure to select 'save' to save the installer to your computer - do not simply run the installer to avoid any complications):
    http://cdn.steelseries.com/keyboards...riesEngine.exe

    6) Right click the installer and 'run as administrator' - complete the installation to the default directory

Please let me know if there is a hitch anywhere in this process and describe the problem in detail if one persists. If the issue is still not resolved then:

    1) Ctrl-alt-delete to access your task manager. Under the process tab, find SSEngine.exe, select it, and end process

    2) Go to start -> all programs -> SteelSeries -> SteelSeries Engine
Right click the SteelSeries Engine -> Select properties -> Navigate to the Compatibility tab and at the bottom check the box for: 'Run As Administrator'
    Hit Apply and OK

    3) Go to My computer and navigate to the following directory: C:\Program Files\SteelSeries\SteelSeries Engine
Right click the SteelSeries Engine -> Select properties -> Navigate to the Compatibility tab and at the bottom check the box for: 'Run As Administrator'
    Hit Apply and OK

Once you do that, right click the SteelSeries Engine and select Run as Administrator

    Regards,

Ok, firstly. The version I am using is STRAIGHT from your website. Just got the replacement keyboard in three days ago and did a fresh install. Secondly, I know the software is communicating with the hardware. The steelseries engine light is green and I can assign keys. Third, as for your advice... I get to the uninstall and it goes so far and stops with NO output. Here is a screenshot of the uninstall saved to google documents.

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...thkey=CNHc6-YI

A product with so many problems should not be so expensive. I am greatly dissatisfied with this and the software is just horrible.

Ok well, i did everything you said. The spacebar worked for half the night then suddenly stopped working again. This is incredible.

2/18/2011 Spacebar is STILL not working. Do i have to unplug and reinstall this software every time the spacebar stops working? Little help would be nice.

Do you guys not answer questions? Is there a phone number I can call? This customer service is terrible. I will never buy a steelseries product again. Ever.

I purchased this through Newegg.com. I have already went through 2 of these keyboards. I am not paying to return this again and wasting my time. Can any of you read? i would like a fix, as I can tell this is not a hardware issue but obviously a software/firmware issue.

    Hi Kyle,

I'm afraid we have no idea what's going on with the keyboard. Would you like to exchange the keyboard for a different product in our line? We have a 6Gv2 mechanical keyboard, 5Hv2/Siberia v2 headset, and a 7H headset (as well as the WOW Cataclysm mouse).

Please let me know if those options are OK with you.

No, this is unacceptable. I want this keyboard, that I bought, paid two shipping fees for...and setup twice. I have a logitech headset that doesn't give me so much trouble. and I love this keyboard. I bought the SAME keyboard for a friend and his does the same exact thing...keyboard right spacebar is buggy. Doesn't work. Can you ship me a new one to eliminate it being a hardware problem, and i'll ship this one back when the new one works right?

    Kyle,

The reason the right spacebar doesn't work, and all other keys do work, is because that key uses an extended USB code that is only readable by our driver. Everything else works as plug-and-play. Basically if that is not working intermittently but the keyboard as a whole does work, then this means that for some reason, the device is sometimes not communicating with our driver, but is communicating with the OS shell and USB controller.

Let's make sure there is not a setting that is suspending the device. Step #1 is most pertinent but it would not hurt to run steps 2 and 3 if it does not resolve the issue. Please take the following steps and test after each step (1, 2, 3) before moving on:

    1. Make sure that your USB devices are set to be powered up at all times and that any power saving features are turned off.
Please refer to this thread for further information (steps 1 & 2 apply for all Windows OS, step 3 is ONLY for windows 7 users):
Mouse not working after hibernation! | Windows 7 Themes

    2. Note: You will need to access your BIOS (Binary Operating System) for this step. If you are unfamiliar with working in the BIOS, please take caution before taking this step and perhaps enlist the assistance of an IT-professional.

Check your BIOS settings for the following (some may not apply). Some may be under ACPI advanced settings.
    a) S3 stand by type is allowed if you have standby enabled
    b) USB speed is at Full Speed (12 MBPS)
    c) USB devices are allowed to wake the computer from standby
    d) Legacy USB support is enabled

    3. Visit the website of your motherboard or computer manufacturer (if you have a brand-name system) and search for the latest:
    a) Motherboard Chipset drivers
    b) BIOS version - make sure you have the latest stable release from the manufacturer

Please advise if these steps help to resolve the issue.

Even if you had come back with "we have no idea" your customers would be happy. Not even responding just makes you seem Chinese and/or working out of a cardboard box.

BTW, I had already fixed this issue...But not with some shitty program.

    1. Start --->> Run ---> GPEdit.msc

    2. Enable and Ignore Code signing for drivers policy under User Configuration --->>

Administrative Templates ---->> System ---->> Driver Installation --->> Code signing for drivers

    Set to enable but ignore.

Please get LEGIT Windows 7 Driver Signature tho, I think you having the windows sticker on your box is complete bullshit, as your drivers are crap....as I stated from day 1 or 2. Can you get sued for this? You are obviously not certified for Windows Vista and 7 if the drivers are not signed.

    AND....it stopped working....again...randomly....

AND the keyboard stopped working without windows restarting, so this is how I can determine that this wasn't the problem.

OK, so now today the keyboard is totally freaking the f out. I'm playing a game and it will autowalk by itself...and I cannot stop it. It will also type by itself all WWWWWW or other characters. Spacebar again stops working after a while and a restart fixes it....for a while. ANY ideas? This is getting out of hand...

You SPAMMed our system and your ticket was automatically put in the suspended tickets list.

Would you like to exchange for another product? I don't see anything coming from these interactions and I think the hostility is unprofessional.

Please reply and let Mike know and I will allow him to handle the return/exchange process.

    Thank you.

I want a working keyboard. The one I purchased. You mean to tell me you are selling these keyboards KNOWING they do not work properly? And your "warranty" can be throw out the window if you offer me sub-par products you happen to have in stock? I want this keyboard, and I want it working correctly. OR my money completely refunded. How hard is it to be a honest company? I don't want your stupid mouse, or headset. Newegg will not replace the product because it has been out of the 30 days because I'VE SPENT IT WAITING FOR YOU TO SUPPORT ME WITH A SOLUTION. Please help. And the fire comment was not hostility. It was a troll.

And another thing, WHY do you wait till the END of your workday EVERY time to respond to support tickets? Why don't you give me a call? ***** or ****** and we will discuss this properly and professionally.
