    BSOD System_service_exception 0X3B

    Hello,

I have built the following computer:

    - CPU Intel i7 980X (secondhand 1 year use).
    - RAM: 24GB DDR3 1600 (new).
    - MB: ASUS Sabertooth X58 (secondhand 6 month use) (Bios upgraded yesterday).
    - GPU: XFX ATI Radeon 5970 (secondhand 1 year use).
    - HDDs: 2X 120GB SSD Corsair (Raid0) + Spare WD Elements Green 2TB (both new).
    - PSU: Antec TruePower Quattro 1200W (new).

As OS i choosed a full retail Windows 7 Professional x64 (Reinstalled yesterday with lastest drivers i found in manufacturers websites).

I have been several problems with the GPU suffering random BSODs (i had to send to manufacturer through RMA service). This new BSOD is completely new and im totally lost. Please, help me guiding me to the problem.

    Thanks a lot.

Edit: I have another BSOD (system_thread_exception_not_handled 0x1000007e) a while after post this message, I have uploaded the two minidumps for just in case this files helps you to identify the problem.

    Hello,

One of the crashes points to your Realtek ethernet drivers; another mentions that Chrome.exe was running at the time of the crash. Those are consistent with each other; the Realtek drivers are probably the cause. Please install the latest drivers from here: Realtek
    Code:
    Rt64win7.sys Mon Mar 22 05:57:14 2010 (4BA73EFA)
Also, install SP1: Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

If that does not help, run driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Also, run a RAM test overnight: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Hello,

thanks a lot for your answer. I have updated LAN driver following your instructions. I also passed several days ago Memtest without errors.

This evening, I've got another BSOD that looks completely different, DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL related to atikmdag.sys (see attached dump). This one points me to GPU (that should be repaired by XFX).

Do you have any ideas / actions I should do?.

    Thanks in advance.

Try running Furmark: Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark

Disclaimer: I am unaware of any threads I have seen where Furmark actually helped diagnose a bad graphics card. Still worth a shot though.

When you sent your video card in for repair, did they give you a new one or repair the old one?

Install the ATK0110 driver from the utilities section here: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?model=P7P55D LE&os=30&SLanguage=en-us

    Hello,

I'm not sure if card is new or repaired, but it looks repaired (or refurbished). I'm testing with another GPU atm. If no BSODs appear in a couple of days I think we will find the problem .
