Windows 7: New PC BSOD's

If you read my original post you will see that I already sent the computer to HP Support and they sent it back with THE EXACT SAME ERROR. They had my computer for over 10 days and couldn't figure it out, I don't feel like sending it in for another 10 days or more just so they can NOT fix shit again. When they have my computer, I am unable to do my own troubleshooting, which I feel will be more productive than those idiots.

The memtest ran into errors after 4 passes.

The SeaTools HDD Test would not even run. Everytime I booted up and the SeaTools auto-boot, I would lose video signal right about the time I clicked 'I agree' for the ToS. Sometimes, it would just restart.

I am going to follow the steps for failing a memtest.

Thanks for the help,
Jordan Adania

I started the steps for failing a memtest with all RAM installed. I took out all but 1 RAM cards (in 1st slot) and tried to run memtest. After 5% of a single pass the computer beeped once and rebooted to a black screen that said only:

AMIBIOS (C) 2010 American Megatrends, Inc.
Copyright 2010 by Hewlett-Packard Company

After 2-3 minutes it added this after the Copyright line:

__________________________________6.09

It did nothing more for 15 minutes, so I shut it down and turned it back on and had No Video Signal. So i turned it off and on again and it got to the memtest and has done a full pass with no errors.

This is some very strange behavior it really looks like you have some damaged hardware when the bios post is even having issue. (windows hasn't even come into play at this point in the boot cycle it's purely hardware initializing) I'm afraid you are beyond my ability to assist you. I'm sorry, if I had to guess the motherboard itself is having issues. This could explain the inconsistent test results.

Hey no problem. This is getting a little weird, I agree. In the beginning it was consistently JUST Blue screens of death. But after SEVERAL OS reinstalls (OEM Recovery from Partition) and returning from HP Support the problems are blue screens, random restarts, and no video signal. So yeah I'm about to cry.... Hewlett-Packard is the worst company I have ever done business with, and never will again.

I may have to just write this off as some 950 dollars down the drain.... Or I may go find some HP building to... nevermind

My anger problems aren't helping. Worst part about this is no where to outsource my anger. I can't hit my computer cause i might break it.... uhhhmmm what?

I've used them for laptops for years without complaint. I have no love for their desktops either though, seen entire offices full of failing hp's with a complete lack of support from the company.

...their rebates are hit and miss too, out of 22 sent in identically formatted and mailed on the same day, 13 rebates returned.
