Computer Dumping Physical Memory & Turning Off

Hello,

My laptop recently started to display this blue box in the middle of the screen with the following text before it restarted itself:

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup options, and then select Safe Mode.

The text appears in white and right afterward my computer restarts. I went to another forum and I figured out how to keep my computer from restarting automatically so I could write down exactly what it said so...if someone could provide instructions on what I should do then I can definitely follow them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I went into system restore and restored it to 3 days before I started having this problem but that didn't help. I tried a Windows 7 64-bit Repair Disk that I burned but that didn't help because the Memory Diagnostics didn't pick up anything and the Recovery feature required an "Image" that I didn't have. When I registered for this account I filled in my computer information so I don't know if it will show up after I post this question so to avoid redundancy I'll wait. I checked to see what software was installed but I don't know. My sister and my nephew use my computer occasionally and they both regularly install things on here. Unfortunately they both know very little about computers so they're not sure what could have caused this. If you require any additional information then please let me know...otherwise, please help me out with whatever you can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, one last thing...I don't have the problem if I start my computer in Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking but I do get it if I start regularly or if I start in Safe Mode with Command Prompt. Please help.

Thank you for your quick response. I went to the link that you provided but I couldn't do Step#3. When I type "perfmon /report" the application box opens up but instead of the report that you want I got a message saying:

Error:
An error occurred while attempting to generate the report.

The system cannot find the path specified.


I tried different variations of the command but none of them brought anything up. I even typed "perfmon" by itself but that brought up the whole Performance Monitor and there was no option to save anything. I did however save the BDOS Dump & System File Collection app, installed it, and ran it. I got a folder but it's over 30MB and I don't think I can get it less than 8MB even if I zip it. Should I upload it in parts or should I try something else?
