Jealous BSOD that doesn't want me discussing our issues
Cutting right to the chase, my computer has been bluescreening as of late seemingly at random, be it a minute or an hour after logging in. When the actual blue screen event occurs, however, I don't actually see the infamous blue screen. No, see, I have two monitors, and first the left one will black out, followed by the right (main) monitor in rapid succession. Any sound that has been playing continues to play for a handful of seconds, before it stutters and blacks out as well.
Upon restarting, the monitors do not turn back on. I have to manually flip the computer off, then turn it back on a couple o' seconds later for it the monitors to work properly. Running DXDiag and compiling from memory, I've got:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz
Memory: 2 Gigs
Vid Card: nVidia 480 GTX with 2 gigs
As far as power supply is concerned, I can't say off the top of my head and I can't exactly open it up right now to take a look, but rest assured it's definitely up there; had problems with it in the past and had to upgrade it, so, aye.
Copypasting the error description I get on restart:
Note that my computer crashed right here, effectively erasing a paragraph I had written.Problem signature:

NOTE THAT IT CRASHED AGAIN, AFTER I HAD RETYPED SAID PARAGRAPH AND FINISHED THE POST. If that doesn't light a fire in your heart, I don't know what will.
So, I've moved onto our other computer, in hopes of finishing this post up in peace. I had a similar problem just recently, where my monitors would both shut off, but the computer would just keep on truckin'. As far as I could tell, it was just the monitors that had the brunt of the issue, and I was right. After giving my tower to a friend of the family to check out, he instantly saw that my card was too big for my (then mini-sized) tower, and suggested that I get a new, smaller graphics card.
Well, I had just gotten my new graphics card, so I wasn't about to go buy a new one just because of a size issue. I figured, why not kill two birds with one stone, and finally shell out on a full sized tower? So I did! All was fine for a few weeks, until I started having this issue.
Also note that I've run chkdsk a handful of times, and even tried that SFC /SCANNOW command over in cmd, and they've both returned negative.
Any help or think-tanking you'd all be willing to provide would be greatly appreciated. My computer seems to be one miserable trail of events after another, and I'm getting to the point where I wonder if it's time to put the old girl to rest. Now, excuse me while I take this flashdrive back into the other room to get the rar I promised.
