OK played about with the RAM in different slots and the problem still persists. CPU Z looks different now though. Both sticks of RAM now in slots 1 & 2.

In the first picture the memory was in single channel mode and in the second picture it was in dual channel mode. Was your memory purchased as a dual channel kit or did you purchase two seperate sticks of memoiry?

Yeah I noticed that. Sticks are now back in slots two and 4 and show as single again on CPUZ. Both sticks purchased together.
