    BSOD

    Interrupt exception not handled

thats all i could read before my computer restarted (i had reformatted a few weeks ago and i didnt check the option to not restart when BSODs happen) but now my PC wont boot up!!!

2 nights ago... i left my computer on while i was sleeping. I woke up to find only 1 light on. The other light that would usually show when its "reading" wasnt even blinking. SO i turned it off and i tried to turn it on again and it wouldnt boot. Just the on light turns on.. but the system wont start. the fans do turn on and everything.. and my motherboard has a led light, and thats always on... but the screen wont show the "Intel" message or whatever with which it generally starts... no activity at all from the "reading" light.

I took it to the repair shop.. they cleaned it and they changed my PSU because apparently it wasnt sending enough power. Yesterday it was working perfectly. Now today i turned it on, and only 10 mins after, it suddenly game me that BSOD, restarted then before it loaded Windows, it again BLINKED the BSOD and after that the computer didnt even restart. The on light remained on, and the fans were on as well, but again the same issue like when i woke up 2 nights ago.

what could this be.. how can i solve this??

To give any specific information we need you to follow the steps outlined here:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

...otherwise it's really all just guesswork.

I will tell you what you are describing sounds like either a severe failure of the memory or motherboard though.

Yeah, sorry I just link to that post out of habit at this point.

If you know how to get inside your case, I would suggest unplugging the machine, and tapping the power button to completely flush stored electricity out of the board, and removing one of the memory sticks (this is assuming you have more than one in there) plugging it back in and seeing if you can boot at that point.
Alternately you can try the same procedure again by alternating which stick you remove. If this can get it to boot you likely have bad memory.

Finally if you pull all the memory out of the system and it behaves no differently, you very likely have a motherboard issue.

That's about the best I can give you based on the information you provided.
Although it is possible one of the power connectors from the power supply is not seated properly. This can also be verified while the machine it unplugged, powered down and open.

edit: also if you have a gaming type graphics card, ensure that the external power is plugged into it.

Hey.. ok well i took off both memory cards and the video card (because im not sure what do u mean with external power plug) it put one of the memory cards in the same spot and voila it turned on...

right now its doing a start up repair... but i want to try to connect the other stuff and see if it works well..

but anyways on friday and saturday there was a power blink... as in power went out for like 2 secs then came back.. on monday night that didnt happen but my computer probably did that same BSOD that showed me today because it was on.. and not working and last night there was a power out for like 20 mins...

u said to unplug and see if it has excess energy.. could that cause my PC to prompt a BSOD and then not turn on?

also thanks a lot for all your help.. since it turned on now.. i will download what u showed me in case i get a BSOD again...

imma wait till it finishes checking to see what happens... I'll brb

This wouldn't by any chance be an asus motherboard would it?
I recently put a newer ati card in my asus board and it responded in a similar way.
After pulling the ram and everything to trouble shoot and plugging everything back in it has worked fine ever since.

Well im posting from my PC now.. i put everything back as it was, and so far no BSOD.. however i ran the whole thing u posted first and attached is what i got. I think it says that some devices are missing or something like that.. i havent re-attached my webcam and tablet etc.. which could probably be why its saying that... but im not sure

    anyways MY PC is:

    - windows 7 ultimate x64
    - I have 2 RAM cards of 2GBs each.
    - My video card is an Nvidia 8600 GT
    - Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz, 2527 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
    - Originally my system had XP installed and about a year ago i switched to windows 7. I reformatted it on mid february.
    - Also after reformatting was when i got the second RAM card that i have.
-the computer was built by my brother, and the place where we bought the pieces almost 3 yrs ago.

I would like to know.. what caused that BSOD and what can i do to prevent it, if anything.
