    If the date and time is configured properly in the BIOS, and you've tried booting to BIOS safe or default settings, then resetting the BIOS is actually the only other method you can try to reset this. The problem isn't necessarily Windows, although it did change the data, but the BIOS. Set the "Reset ESCD Configuration Data" option (if your BIOS has one) to Enabled to force an ESCD reset, and re-detection of plug and play devices. Shut down, and remove all USB devices other than keyboard and any PCI or AGP devices installed in your system unnecessary to boot other than the video card, and then power back up. This should get you booted again, and once you're up and running you can shut down and add your devices back (one or a few at a time) to see if any of them cause an issue.

    Well I'm trying to reset bios as I write, and I've found the two pins that say CLR CMOS, but I have no clue what to put onto them to reset the bios lol. Sorry guys, this stuff confuses me to death :-(. Any clues? Thanks guys

    If you found the pins and they look like 1 2 3 and the jumper is on 1 2 then move it to 2 3 and leave it there for like 5 seconds and then move it back to 1 2. that will clear the CMOS and reset the bios.

    There's only two pins and there's nothing actually on either of them. Not sure what cable to attach onto those pins :-(

    Actually, just read that I cam remove the battery to clear it as well. Gonna give that whirl.

    This is what your looking for on the motherboard. Its almost always right next to the battery. What type of motherboard do you have?

    It's a gigabyte one, I can't get the model number from the pc though. I think I put it into my profile here when I registered though. I don't have one of those on my MOBO, but I do have a two-pin thing that I think does the same thing. I can't get the battery out so o can't do that, but I plugged the reset buttons wire onto it. Just gonna see what that did if anything.

    You dont want to plug any wires into anything on the motherboard if you dont know where it goes. you'll make things worse for you.

    I've done that, and had a few screens pop up. Taken a few pictures and zipped them up, that might help a bit better than me explaining it. It's such a nightmare lol. Taking pitures on your iPhone, emailing them to yourself, opening and downloading onto a laptop and uploading. Yikes I took my PC for granted!

    .. Well, I tried to upload and the forum is throwing an error about a missing security token lol. My luck jut gets better and better. Do you mind if I email the pics to you at all? They're pics of the errors and screens that I had, and a few of the setup of the PC itself.
