BSOD during Steam

Hi all,

This blue screen always happens when I'm playing on Steam. The game is Counter Strike.
I have Steam for years, and never had Blue Screens until a couple weeks back.
I was using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and changed recently (24 hours ago) to Windows 7 Professional x64.

So, in sum:

Win 7 Pro x64 Full Retail (no SP1 yet, downloading now)
Some Hardware is recent (Motherboard, SSD and RAM), the rest is a bit less recent
Installation of OS has 24 hours.

Here's the zip file.

Thanks in advance.

Kaspersky is making your ataport.sys (ata driver) corrupt memory.

I would

1-remove Kaspersky and replace with Microsoft security essentials

http://support.kaspersky.com/downloa...vremover10.zip

http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

2-run memtest

Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program.

Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

I've updated my BIOS, it was pretty outdated. Played a couple hours with no BSOD, gonna see if it stays smooth.
If not, I'll try what you suggested (if no other fix comes before).

Btw, why should I remove Kaspersky and use Microsoft Security Essentials? My Kaspersky is legit and paid for, is MSE better?

Thanks for replying.
