The symptoms that you describe are either a hardware problem - or a virus.
Since you've reformatted, the most likely cause is a hardware problem - but a virus is possible also.

I'd suggest taking it in for warranty work and describe what you've already done.

Every single time, I leave my computer to 'hibernate' or 'sleep', it restarts. This has been going on for days. It used to say 'Error: Driver disk failure'. I am not sure if it is the same error now. Please help. Thank you.

Hi, Whenever I do the 'Hibernate' or 'Sleep' function, a BSOD would appear and it would shut down. I have attached the SF file. I have restored the computer to previous states. But still this problem happens everytime. Thanks for any help.

Hey, I've got a new ASUS gaming laptop with W7 64-bit OEM and I've been getting a few BSOD errors while bringing my laptop out of sleep/hibernate. Its not always but its often enough to be a nuisance. My drivers are all up to date so I'm really confused as to what can be causing this, any help...

I have a persistent problem when sleeping or hibernating my machine. On sleep or hibernating, the screen goes blank, hard discs is active for a while then it just stops but power remains on. I have to hold the power button to turn it off or if on batteries it will stay like that until it runs out...
