    0x7e error and others

    I have an Lenovo i3 530, 2.93GHz, 8GB RAM running Win7 64bit. Two HDD's - C = 500GB and D= 750GB. Tons of open disk space.

Lately I have had a few BSODs, the latest today. The others I do not recall what they were (0x19 maybe?) but today was 0x7e. The computer has always restarted after and the last few times I was so busy that I had to continue at the particular time and didn't save any details. I'm still busy but this is messing with my head now.

The only thing I have done today, after the crash is update the nVidia display drivers ()which were out of date).

    Here is today's crash report:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 1000007e
    BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
    BCP2: FFFFF80002EA8124
    BCP3: FFFFF880031A19D8
    BCP4: FFFFF880031A1230
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1
I have attached the Minidump files that I have found. If possible could someone give me a heads up on what the problem might be or tell me what other info might be helpful to diagnose the issue?

It's all Greek to me... many thanks.

Please post the following info in order to help with the analysis of your issues: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

FWIW - this looks to be the drivers for your DLink SharePort enabled router. The SharePort drivers date from 2008 and are directly blamed in the crash dumps. If the system continues to BSOD, there are other drivers that we can address (and they'll be addressed below).

Also, there's quite a few other older drivers on the system, so I'd recommend the following:
OLDER DRIVERS PRESENT IN THE DUMP FILES
    - Please update these drivers from the device manufacturer's website - or uninstall/remove them from your system. Reference links are included below.
    - DO NOT use Windows Update or the Update Drivers function of Device Manager.
    - Please feel free to post back about any drivers that you are having difficulty locating.
    - Windows Update exceptions may be noted below for Windows drivers:

Thanks John, I appreciate your assistance

I guess the first thing I dump is Secunia PSI. It tells me that all drivers are up to date or properly patched.

The Share Port item rings a bell as I only recently installed that to accomodate a USB printer that I wanted to share over the network without having to have my computer on.

I see that LogMeIn is also a problem. This might be from trying to update it for Firefox 4.0.

Looks like I have a lot of work to do.

Thanks very much, I shall report back over the next couple of days... in between client work.

    Hi John
I uninstalled Sharepoint (I can live without it for the moment) and have not had any trouble since. I shall start to work on the other drivers.

    Thanks once again.
