You 3 year old atheros driver (athrxusb.sys) caused nwifi.sy to fail.
Re-install the newest versop of the atheros driver.
How To Find Drivers:
Quote:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Thanks for your response especially at how fast you responded, it really is appreciated.

I have had a look and my driver is the Atheros L1 Ethernet driver HOWEVER i have Windows 7 x64 and there is NO driver for windows 7 x64 or 32 bit so, I have the following questions to ask.

do YOU recommend uninstalling this driver as I DONT use the ethernet at all, I use a network card and occasionally a wifi USB which I have disabled and I THINK thats stopped the BSOD error from happening?

what do you suggest

ATHEROS Network drivers for Windows

as you can see I have L1 and no driver for windows 7 thanks
