"Item not found" error.

    [Solved]"Item not found" error.


    Hi, iv had this error for a while and i just decided not to delete the file, but its getting annoying just having a random file on my desktop.
    Here is a video of the error.

    Its a zero byte file usually from an aborted download. It should disappear next re-boot

    Im guessing thats, not the answer because iv had this problem with that file for about 3 months now and iv probably rebooted at least 100 times in that 3 months.

    Hi thecompgame.

    Have you tried the excellent Unlocker? Adds itself to your context menu.

    I have to use Lockerhunter because im x64.

    I never guessed this, but what i did was since i have 2 OS's (Ubuntu and Windows) i booted into Ubuntu then i just deleted the file from there, and it deleted fine :)

    Would have been the first suggestion if I knew.
    I always carry a puppy disc for the same situations.

    The first 6 months I first went x64 there was no compatible unlocker. Very nearly threw me back to 32bit. But good you got your problem sorted.
