Your right morgan ran the stress tests again small ffts seems to be fine.

But large FFTS
Fatal error rounding was 0.5 expected less than 0.4
hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file

Where to go from here. Tottaly pulling my hair out. Thanks for your help again morgan

First off, its mgorman, not morgan.

Secondly, you said you ran memtest for 7-8 passes on your new memory with no errors correct?

Do you know what type of power supply you have?

Can you re-run the Large FFTs and see if the error happens again? Were you monitoring your temps for the first 15min? What were the results?

If the test continues to fail and your power supply is decent then I would replace the CPU.

Hi sorry mgorman

Just thought id update. Yes memtest ran for 11 passes no errors.

I have an antec fusion case with inbuilt 430 w supply.

I replaced the cpu and things were working better. Didnt have any more bsod.

But now the computer is freezing and locking up not blue screening.

I then decided to rma the motherboard. The manufacturere fully tested it and found no errors or overheating symptons.

What is causing the freezes. the two only options now are the memory and power supply cause the hd, and cpu are new and the motherboard has been tested.

Thanks mgorman.

Either it is software related (virus, driver, program) or hardware. Since you already replaced everything else, I would go with your power supply next. Get a decent one like Corsair and try to get a little more wattage then what you have now.
