Unexplainable BSOD after recent update

The other day I had 17 updates to download, and after those I have had a streak of BSOD's, mainly while playing games on my computer, I have attached the files in C/windows/Minidump to help with registering why.

Thanks a lot, Leyst.

Hi Leyst and Welcome.

STOP 0x00000124: WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Usual causes:
Hardware, Incompatibility, Maybe driver corruption

Your latest dump file lists hardware as the probable cause.
Of the two dumps supplied, one is dated February which I've ignored as it is quite "old".

As a Priority:

Stop 0x124 Checks
  • Ensure that none of the hardware is being overclocked.
  • Ensure that the machine is adequately cooled. Chase out those dust bunnies!
  • Make sure all hardware related drivers are up to date.
  • Possibly update the motherboard BIOS according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Always keep The Windows system itself up to date.
See this thread for additional pointers: Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

Some hardware tests you should be prepared to run:
Run Chkdsk
Run the correct Hard Drive Diagnostics Tool for your HDD.
Memtest86+ 4.20 download. Guide to using Memtest86+ Also see: RAM - How to Test with Memtest86+
CPU - Stress Test with Prime95. Run the "Blend" and "Small FFTs" tests.
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark.
You may want to update your graphics drivers to the latest version:
Download the latest Catalyst SetUp.
Download and install Driver Sweeper.
Boot to Safe Mode
Uninstall your current Catalyst SetUp.
Run Driver Sweeper to clean up any left overs.
Reboot to Normal Mode.
Install your new Catalyst SetUp.
Drivers with Updates:

Rt64win7.sys Thu Mar 04 13:42:52 2010 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller v7.041

The rest of your drivers look pretty good.

Hmm from what I can see on the front-screen on my computer, the HDD is around 55C which is more than twice the normal temperature. I am going to clean it out right now cheers.

I like my toast lightly browned!!

That is err, very warm. Mine is never more than 10c above ambient. You should consider around 45c as a safe maximum, which is about 10c lower than most Mfrs stated maximum (55c).
(These are desktop figures, lappies will most likely be different)

I found my problem and I know you will laugh and probably use it later for jokes, so this statement is with all rights reserved :P

I put the box for my Cataclysm MMO mouse on top of my HDD fan which made it unable to suck in any air, and I now have a burned hand for removing the box. Now it is running at it's typical 20c, albeit with some good overclocking

I am glad I could entertain Perhaps I should look at my computer more often, and at the screen a bit less.
