BSD Crash MiniDump - Please Help

Hi Guys,

I've been having several BSDs a day. I don't know why. I thought perhaps it was an update to my nVidia card drivers, but I reverted back to an older version and it's still happening. Any help would be much appreciated. I've tried the debugging tools, but no luck. I've never used them before and I can't seem to figure it out.

I've included the .dmp file for the most recent crash.

Thanks in advance,

TekGuruMan

Bugcheck 119, VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR, a video driver/sub-system error.
The dump blames dxgmms1.sys, which is the Windows system Direct X driver and unlikely to be the real cause. Something is probably causing a conflict.

1. I recommend that you completely uninstall Sonic Wall. The driver, SWIPsec.sys, is shown as an unloaded module. Without the additional files, I cannot determine the date of this driver. However, many third part security programs conflict with Win 7 and cause BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. Once you know your system is stable, you can try installing it again and see what happens.

2. Your version of Norton contains an out of date driver. This version of Norton/Symantec is a known cause of BSOD's on some Win 7 systems. I suggest that you remove Norton altogether using this removal tool: Tool. Download and install Microsoft Security Essentials while you are troubleshooting and make sure Windows Firewall is turned on. If you decide to reinstall Norton after you get your system stable, install the latest version. Do not reinstall your current version.

3. Update this driver through the link provided:
Quote:
dne64x.sys Mon Nov 10 20:01:24 2008 - Citrix Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport or Cisco Systems VPN Client. Cisco Systems, Inc.
Follow these suggestions and let's see if your system runs better. If you get another BSOD, upload the dump and enable Driver Verifier carefully following the instructions in this tutorial:
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable.

Attached is the PerfMon report. I tried running the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app as described and it seems to run fine, but it's not creating the folder with the results in Documents. I'm not sure why.

Thanks again for the help.

Thank you for trying. Did it create the folder on your desktop by any chance? At any rate, I finished my analysis of the dump. If you can get the tool to work, please upload the the files. I will look at the perfmon report and see if I can spot anything there.

I see that you have disabled Sonic Wall; however, the drivers are still loading. Try completely uninstalling Sonic Wall.

Nope. No folder in the desktop either.

I'll try the suggestion one by one to see what helps. Thanks again!

Update

Ok, after exhaustingly trying everything, and due to the intermittent nature of the problem, I believe I've narrowed it down to one application and one particular series of drivers. It appears that the latest few nVidia drivers coupled with Firefox 4 causes the crash. If I run Chrome instead of Firefox, I never get a crash. With the same video driver if I use Firefox 4 it crashes intermittently once perhaps twice a day: usually after clicking from another application back into Firefox. If I revert to older, several iterations older, drivers for my nVidia Quadro 450 card it doesn't crash using Firefox 4.

So, I'm forcing myself to use Chrome and it's stable with that. I'm starting to warm up to Chrome, but I've been a Firefox guy for many years and it's not easy to give it up.

Thanks everyone for the help. This has been a pain for sure.
