BSOD.. which changes?!
Okay, i'm not gonna be the guy which throws you three words and expects you to tutorial me on how to fix it; But I must say even though I am quite an experience user this is all new to me!
Earlier today my computer got a virus, MS Security Essentials picked it up and removed it. fair enough. Five minutes later, I get a lovely BSOD Saying "INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR". I rebooted in safe mode as anyone should, and nothing happened like this. Ran smoothly. Then, when I booted normally, I got back to business and after five minutes ANOTHER BSOD appears! This time mentioning ataport.sys to be the problem! I can run my laptop in safe mode without a problem, but when in normal mode I can only run for about five minutes and one of those BSOD's catches me. It changes between the two!
Since I can run in safe mode perfectly fine, and one mentions an "INTERNAL_POWER_FAILURE", ive used common sense for this to be flunk and be a virus, but I may be wrong.
I've attached the required dump information from your program, but not the HTML file since it won't run. "The specified path cannot be found" says the perfmon. Probably as im in safe mode.
Can anyone shed light on this?? Any help would be a great one!
Cheers.
BTW- System specs: Win 7 HP SP1 x86, Not original OS, but Win7 is full retail version. Laptop is ABOUT 2 or 3 years old, but still pretty decent stuff. and my Windows 7 was installed December 2009.
Sorry to have written an essay, just wanted to inform you properly!
