ataport.sys blue screen of death

    Same issue going on over there, except that OP can't boot.

    Try the atapi.sys replacement I recommended in the PCHF thread. To save you the trouble of creating an account on PCHF just to download my file, I'll attach one here.
    it says that i have no authorization for changing windows files(tried for both Safe/Normal mode and on an administrator account)
    i've already tried replacing the ataport.sys port before, but i failed at the authorization

    You'll have to do it from installation DVD or system repair disc. If you have neither, you can create a repair disc.
