please help, im desperate!!!
hey everyone, (PLEASE READ ON I AM REALLY STUCK HERE)
ive registered here because i am in need of some help, Major help.. its basicaly about a blue screen issue i have had since day 1 of a system build. i have been on the ASUS forums (my motherboard) and no one seams to have been sucessfull in helping me. its totally random and i have tried everything i can think of. i put it all together, no issues there, all tight etc, and i started to get blue screen, i then wiped the HD and reinstalled windows thinking it was a bad install (wanted a TOTALLY clean system) it is still blue screening randomly, ive updated all drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled each individual ones, changed my antivirus software, but it is still happening sometimes i turn it on and it shows a message saying cpu not compatible with core unlocker before it loads windows, but then other times it works fine, i have an aftermarket cpu cooler and it is all fitted correctly, the temp never really goes above 31'C and mother board temp is fine too. i did have a fan error to start with where it shut it down (no blue screen) but i disabled Q-Fan in bios and it cleared that issue ive used the Jumper Switches to clear CMOS and ran it at TOTALY basic, nothing running that doesnt need to be run. issue still there i ran memtest86 and after a number of passes, about 12ish it had found 6 faults, so i then removed all 4 sticks of ram (corsair DDR3 1600MHz 2GB) and tested them one at a time in slot 1, none of them came up with any faults, so i thought maybe it was the motherboard at fault, so i tried one of the seamingly good sticks in each slot, the second slot came up with a fault, and the 3rd and 4th didnt, so, i then thought i would just make sure that it is that slot by testing another "good" stick in it. now the fault isnt there.. ive also tried setting my ram to run at 1067MHz and 1333MHz Frequency's... no luck.. PLEASE HELP GUYS..... i have uploaded my minidump files onto skydrive http://cid-0b4b70962416af67.office.l...e.aspx/.Public my specs are AMD Phenom II X6 1075T CPU 3.00GHz 8GB corsair 1600MHz (4x 2GHz) M4A89GTD PRO/USB3 motherboard ATI Radeon HD4850 G/card 850w PSU yesterday i cleared CMOS, disabled core unlocker and turbo V switches. wiped computer and went to reinstall windows, had 2 blue screens since and both through windows instal it says : "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer. Technical information: STOP : 0x0000007B (0xF9E51640, 0xc000000E, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)" ok, bios updated to version2001 used the windows cd to repair, (i had formated the drive a number of times so cant believe it was still there) anyway, restarted and re installed windows.. no bluescreen on instal... now ive installed all drivers etc and running system totally standard, no gpu boost, cpu unlocker etc.. had two blue screens today. both on skydrive. im lost and very desperate for some help blue screen viewer says caused by driver NTOSKRNL.exe if i search for this on the start menu, i cant open it in win32 mode.. is that anything? |

ntoskrnl.exe is a core OS file and will definitely not cause a BSOD |

End Quote: I'd say it is the RAM. Try running the system with just 2 sticks of RAM in the first channel, A1/B1. |

i tried 1 stick only, but ran very jumpy, so i put in 2 sticks in slots 1 and 3.. but still had problem, maybe i could try the two remaining sticks in slots 2 and 4 and see, but i very much doubt it is that, as they all memtested ok, with about 13passes each.
odd isnt it.. |

Go to BIOS and tell us what the RAM voltage and integrated memory controller voltage is set at. Second, There is a known issue with AMD CPUs integrated memory controllers having problems running RAM at 1600 MHz and above. This is an AMD issue not a Gigabyte issue. VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AMD AM3 CPU's and RAM SPEEDS Q&A for the topic VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AMD AM3 CPU's & RAM.... Set your RAM at 1333MHz, unganged mode. D/L CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs. Post the RAM and integrated memory controller voltage, so they can be adjusted. I've seen this work many times. |
