Ongoing BSODs, Marvell driver (reports attchd)

Was just going to ask to see Disk Management.

If you're sure that Disk 1, Caches, 149GB, was not connected when you installed Win7, then you can remove the 'Active' designation.

An easy way to do this is to D/L the free Partition Wizard, it's a very good program.

When open, the Caches partition will have 'Active' in the status column.

Right click the 'Caches' partition, go to 'Modify' and click 'Set Inactive'. Then click 'Apply' in the upper left corner.

That's it, you can exit the program.

Thanks Dave - I'll do that because I'm sure I only had the SSD connected during the OS installation.

Is there any reason to change its status though? I try to live by the ol' "if it ain't broke don't fix it" rule...

OTOH I do value a tidy system that's clean and well-ordered. It bothers me a bit to see 2 "Active" partitions on 2 different HDDs - when I'm only running one OS.

I may just use Diskpart though - pretty simple to do from the CLI isn't it?

Update: ended up using Diskpart and all is well now in Disk Management - only one "Active" partition, the C:\ drive.

On to the next thing - moving that C:\ drive off the SATA 6Gbs port and onto an Intel controller. May not get to it for a few days but I will post back once I do. Thanks again for all your help Dave, I really appreciate it!
