Windows 7: Omens
Hi Guys,
I am here to throw myself once again at the feet and the mercy of the Gurus in my desperate battle with bluescreens.
I have posted here before and have faced BSOD after BOSD after BOSD. I have been given and followed advice, and have faced far fewer bluescreens since, however there is a recurring new nightmare haunting my life.
It comes with this:
'nvlddmkm.sys attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed'
I have looked up on this and the only thing I can find is people saying update to a newer driver for my nVidia card.
This, however has occurred three drivers back, my last driver and now continuing into the latest graphics driver released on the 18th of this month, which I installed last night.
They are driving me crazy because when my computer performs its regular freeze, crash, instant close or bluescreen it boots through the bios. Normal. It then reaches the windows animation. Normal.
It is this point that my screen goes black for 10-15 seconds then the dreaded bluescreen turns up complaining about the same NVLD issue.
Last night I sat and it seven times over ran into a blue screen loop before I finally got tired of seeing it and closed the computer manually with the power button held in.
My thread is entitled 'Omens' because I deeply fear my graphics card going bang again like my last one and call it paranoia, but I am always on the lookout for any fault so I can be prepared in any case that I might have to buy another card.
Please help!

I am happy and surprised to say for some reason now the performance monitor actually works, last time it was timing out without giving me a result. This time it has given and is included.
