Random reboots for no reason

Hey guys, I've been getting random reboots on my desktop with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit recently, and actually, this is the 3rd time its been happening. It happened around 4 months ago when I upgraded all of my computers hardware to brand new stuff. I tried everything to fix it, and in the end the only thing that fixed it was a complete format and new installation of windows. That worked for 2-3months, then it happened again, and I had to reinstall ALL over again.

It just started happening again a week ago, this time less frequently than the others because whenever it happens, I immediately enter safe mode, since the computer is completely stable in safe mode with networking. I get no BSOD errors or any warning before it happens, the computer just turns off, and reboots. It still does it even after turning off automatic reboots in the kernel dump selection area. I did a memtest a while back for a few hours and it was all good, and I bought a new PSU thats plenty powerful for the computer so I'm not sure what is wrong with it. I'm thinking it might be the motherboard or something, but I wish there was a way to find out for sure. I do not want to reformat my computer one more time for something that will most likely come back in a few months. Let me know what kind of information I can post that will help! Thank you.

Also, a thing I noticed, it never reboots when I'm playing a video game like World of Warcraft or Heroes of Newerth, even if one of the games is just running in the background and Im alt tabbed. It usually happens when I'm just cruising youtube or facebook or something. I've heard it might be some power management issue, but I have no idea.

Please remove any ASUS utilities you have installed on your computer. They usually cause problems.

Download the latest Realtek drivers - Realtek

Run a hard drive scan using seatools - SeaTools for DOS | Seagate

Okay, I ran Driver Verifier and it just made my computer slow for the first 5-10 minutes after rebooting. I then decided to install SP1 thru Windows Update which estimated the size as 83 mbs or so. It took about 20-30 minutes to get to around 50% and then it wouldn't go any farther and I got unexplainable errors. It was just on the download phase too.

I shut down the computer after the failed attempts because It was late, and the next morning I booted it up, got a BSOD that made me reboot, and I then went to System Repair to see if it could find anything. I uninstalled the ASUS programs. I also tried to update my realtek drivers before the Driver Verifier and It rebooted while installing the program. Same exact thing for the seagate tool.

This was happening a few months ago with my old power supply which was 4years old so I decided to buy a new Antec one to see if it would fix my problem. No dice. I highly doubt it's the power supply but who knows. Would the hard drive be able to cause something like this?

Has any new minidumps been created through all this? Can you upload a new report.
