Windows 7: DMP folder locked and BSOD etc etc

There are three tests posted, which ones did you run and what were the results?
Hi Dave
Sorry not sure exactly what results your looking for??
I ran all 3 Prime95 tests and there were no failures - max temp 84*C
I ran the memtest for 9 passses and no errors were reported
I ran the Seatools short and long tests with it passing both tests
I am not aware of, however is there some specific report i am supposed to output from some of these tests that will tell you more?

A stock Intel CPU cooler should run Prime95 at or below 68C.
Are you suggesting this could be the cause of my problems or is it just something
that needs to be attended to?

Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.
With two 4GB RAM cards installed I would bump the CPU integrated memory controller voltage.
Default setting is 1.10v, bump it to 1.15v (or 1.170v if the 1.150v option is not available).
I went in to the bios and the only voltage references i could find were under the OC Tweaker tab
They were CPU, DRAM, VIT, PCH and GFX voltages. They were all set to Auto.
Are these what you are refering to?

I will check the seating of the cooler and get back to you

There were three tests posted, your reply was you did 'both tests', it's clear now.
Most of these tests will just say 'Passed' if they did, and list errors if they don't, it's all good.

Overheating CPUs can throttle down and/or cause faults, continued overheating can cause CPU damage.
This would be first on my list to get sorted.

For the BIOS voltages, select 'Manual' and if you still can't see a number then increase by the smallest amount available so you can see a voltage number.
Post all the voltages mentioned above.

These are the settings i found after selecting manual

CPU 1.2V
DRAM 1.3V (Min)
VIT 1.11V (min)
PCH 1.05V (min)
CPU PLL 1.81V (min)
GFX 100mV

I would recommend to get the CPU temps under control first, start by checking the CPU cooler. No heavy stress testing.

Set your DRAM manually to 1.50v.
The VTT is the CPU integrated memory controller, with 8GB RAM you should change that to 1.15v or 1.17v depending on the selections available.
You should wait until the CPU temp issue is solved before changing these voltages.

Let us know your progress.
