    Kernel Data Inpage Error NTFS.sys


    Hello SevenForums,

    I just registered to report this error I get continuosly from last couple days, seeking for help I saw this forum so hopefully you can help me.

    I am now posting this in Safe Mode cause if I start Windows in regular mode I most likely going to get another freezing episode after 10-15 minutes.

    Sometimes I get a BSOD and sometimes the computer just freezes and reboots, then I get a message saying "insert proper boot device" or something like that I dont remember the exact words used.
    So when the 2nd scenario has occurred I then have to remove and reinsert the sata cable, I only have 1 HD, and forcebrute a reboot.


    I've tried to run a System Health Report but I get a message saying "The system cannot find the path specified" so Im only attaching the Windows_NT6_BSOD_jcgriff2, also it is compressed with .rar sorry about that.



    Please I need some help with this I dont know what to do and its stressing me out too much

    Uninstall Daemon Tools. It's driver, SPTD, is known to cause problems in Windows 7. Once it's removed, run the SPTD removal tool. DuplexSecure

    Let me know if that fixes the problem

    Hello mgorman87,

    I've managed to run a full defrag on my C drive after several attempts, turns out I had 25% of fragmented files. I also turned off the stand by and screensaver options cause I read somewhere that could cause some problems.

    Unninstalled Daemon Tools and used the software you mentioned. So far so good but now I will enable back the stand by option (Balanced mode) to see if that was the cause.

    Hello again,

    The computer was running fine until now, getting freezing episodes again after 1-2 minutes into the desktop. I am posting this again in Safe Mode.

    I also keep getting the message "Reboot and select proper boot device". I checked the sata cables and they are connected. The power up cables are also connected.
    What I noticed is that whenever I start the computer the HD makes some noises, like its struggling making long "brrrpbrpppp" sounds.. lol

    Im attaching another jcgriff2 thing even though I did not get a BSOD this time. Maybe it helps..Idk

    I am now running windows in normal mode and it looks like everytime I first run in safe mode and then I reboot and start windows in normal mode everything looks correct even though I dont touch anything during safe mode other than to post in this forum hehehe

    EDIT: I just forgot to say that during in Safe Mode I turned off the Stand by and Hibernation options again.

    I would run a Disk Check on your drive. You may still run into the issues again. Once the disk check is complete run a scan using SeaTools. SeaTools for Windows | Seagate

    Hello mgorman87,

    During the Disk Check tool 0 errors were found however when using SeaTools running a short DST scan the test failed due to a faulty sector/block and it recommends me to use SeaTools DOS.

    I read I have to burn it as an .ISO image thats fine, my question is how do I fix those faulty blocks with the program?

    The program doesn't fix the faulty blocks it just scans the drive. You might have to replace your hard drive

    When you ran the disk check did you run chkdsk /r?

Hi, I've a hp pavilion d7 laptop and sometimes it turns off automatically and other times it shows me the BSOD that I attach. When it turns off it's when I'm using Dreamweaver CS6 or Adobe Photoshop CS6. When I'm using those programs the fan starts to make a lot of noise. Thanks.

I have a brand new computer and have only installed a few programs and a printer. I keep getting this blue screen (see attachment) just after waking after sleep. Does this have to do with some drivers or could it be hardware failure?
