I did a clean re install because I was getting frustrated lol. So the cpu usage graph is in a zone where i like it and the system is operating at a much cooler temperature. My only gripe was that when I did the clean install, upon starting windows for the first time I was prompted with my recycle bin being corrupt. Meanwhile I'm still getting freezes that lock up everything on the computer. So I can only assume it must be hardware related.

My question now is how can I test to determine which piece of hardware is at fault?

note: All my bios settings are back to spec and things seems to be running to spec.

Update: So tested the gpu and that passed. I still can't go through with prime95 because I get freezes before any test can be completed. I'm running memtest86 atm and i keep getting freezes. The test says that there was an error which caused an interruption and although there was a halt in testing there still showed no errors on the ram. What causes concern for me is that after the error shows the pc freezes.

Since you're getting freezes after the new install check out this HotFix :

A computer that is running Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 stops responding randomly

Still no luck =/ i'm hoping its just ram issues. Although i keep getting "error interupt halting" during memtest86 and a freeze after about 3 passes with no errors on the ram stick.
