Well... Can't find it. Hoping for the best then. I'll run SeaTools tomorrow.

One last confirmation on Prime95 - as long as the temps remain fine during the first 15-20 min, the entire test shouldn't do any harm, right? What would be fine temps, just for comparison? I got an i7 920 mounted on a P6T SE SE mobo. I can fetch the rest of the details tomorrow, if it will help give me a better sense on temps.
Yes. If the temps stay in the safe range for the first 15-20 minutes then the rest of the tests should be ok. I'd say if it starts to go over 80 then stop the test

Ok. Thanks. I see Tuesday as a likely candidate for Prime95. I'll finish all the tests this week.
I'm assuming SeaTools checks my harddrive and won't like it much if I do anything while it does, right? Best to simply let it run and do something else, correct?

Yes. You are correct. Just let it run overnight if you can.

I ran the SeaTools Short Generic and Long Generic tests on the relevant HD. Both passed.
All I'm left with is Prime95, but I'm developing a feeling that it, too, will pass.

One last tiny set of questions about Prime95, as I'm gonna run the first test in about an hour:
Do I need to run the tests close to each other? Or can I take my relative time with them? Would running them for more than 3-4 hours be bad?

No. They don't need to be run close together. Just run them when you can. And running for more then 3-4 hours is fine. I say 3-4 hours because that is usually how long it takes to produce any type of errors if there were going to be any.

Ok. Thanks a bunch. Then I'll run one today, another tonight and the last tomorrow. Thursday I'll have the last of the results.

    Any conclusions so far, anyway?

Have you had more crashes? Or just the two?

And no, I don't have any conclusions as of yet.

Just the two. Both on Thursday, if that has any indication.

I started up Prime95 and in a matter of less than 3 minutes my cores went to 70 and then one hit 82.
What now? Don't suppose I can run the tests if the temps hit this high this fast.
