Windows shutdown 2-3 times a day

For last two weeks, windows have been shutting down on its own. First i thought that it was some kind of Virus. MS team scanned and fixed up the system. However, the problem remains.I am not sure. The dump files of last 3-4 days are attached.

    Welcome
your BSODs appear to be caused by a driver. Go to the website of the driver manufacturer and update or even better is the software is not needed, uninstall.

    Ampse.sys file description
    Productname:Authentium AMP 5
    Description:AMP Scan Engine driver
    Company:Authentium, Inc

It should be noted that this particular driver is a know hiding place for virus and malware. Download and run an updated scan of malwarebytes.

Thanks. I did downloaded malawarebytes and ran a scan. It identified a large number of errors and then asked that i should buy the software for removing these errors. It removed 100 errors on its own. Since I was not sure if I should pursue it further, i did not opt to buy the software and uninstalled it. The problem remains.

At another site, it was recommended that one should run whocrashed 3.01 which I did. It identified two drivers including the one that you identified. The second one was NTKRPAMP.EXE. IT sugested to go to google for help. But the google pages appear fairly confusing. I have saved the output report of whocrashed in case you need it.

I do not mind buying any of the software if it would help.

I think this problem started with my subscription to IOLO software. I also have Norton antivirus. Perhaps there is a conflict. Your help would be appreciated.

Thanks Richard. I will wait to hear from your team member. Overnight, I also had a new error, AV SDK5 Dispatcher/Notification has stopped working, but it seems that Windows did not restart.

    That is NOT malwarebytes.

You have an additional problem - it seems your browser is being redirected.

    Uninstall this program.

Next, let's flush the DNS cache and restore MS's Hosts file.
Copy and paste these lines in Note pad.

    @Echo on
    pushd\windows\system32\drivers\etc
    attrib -h -s -r hosts
    echo 127.0.0.1 localhost>HOSTS
    attrib +r +h +s hosts
    popd
    ipconfig /release
    ipconfig /renew
    ipconfig /flushdns
    netsh winsock reset all
    netsh int ip reset all
    shutdown -r -t 1
    del %0

Save as flush.bat to your desktop. Right click to run as Administrator. Your computer will reboot itself.

    • Download random's system information RSIT
      http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe
    • It is important that is saved to your desktop.
    • Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
    • Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
    • Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)
