    Infinite start up loop

I screwed up. I downloaded a file, opened it, when I did the computer shut off, restarted and now is in an infinite loop of trying to repair itself because it will not start up

I have tried the walk through for this problem and it didn't work. I tried restoring to an earlier date and that didn't work. I tried to do a restore that is pre installed on my gateway computer, but it said I didn't have enough room on my hard drive to do so.

Is there anyway I can make more room manually in dos? I don't know what else to try.

    Thanks for your help.

You attempted to run Gateway Recovery partition and it needs more space on HD?

You need a WIn7 DVD or Repair Disk: System Repair Disc - Create

Try Startup Repair a few more times if you haven't been using the disk as it works better if it doesn't have to depend on System Files.

If it won't Startup or SysRestore, then use the booted DVD/Repair CD to browse into your files to rightclick>Delete some and rightclick>Copy>Paste out any others you need using the Mini-Explorer at the Load Drivers link here:

More here: Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console

Thank you, we tried everything, ended up having to wipe the entire hard drive. Thanks for your help though.
