    Fine until BSOD

    Hi,
Hopefully someone maybe able to help me out here. I have done a clean install of windows 7 64bit pro. Everything installed fine, no problems. Started playing some games. After a couple of hours while playing I get BSOD. Now every time I reboot I still get BSOD with various errors relating to pcie.sys and now disk.sys

I have tried the repair and goes straight back to blue screen. I have also tried to reinstall from the disc and it just hangs on starting windows.

    Any Ideas??

    Running msi 870a-g54
    amd phenom II 965BE
    8Gb Xms 3
    1tb hdd
    gt260

    Thanks in advance

There are a few things you can try.

Since the errors seem to indicate hardware you can make a bootable dvd (or USB) containing HD checking utilities from the HD mfr.

You can also (if a desktop) remove all the external (not essential) cards and devices
    (ie USB, PCIE, etc)

Failing that you can use another live system disk (Linux, xp, vista, etc) to boot from and run the HD chceking.

That will tell you if it is the HD, an external card or device, or something else.

You can also on boot in win 7 hit shift +F10 to get you to a cmd window where you can run a system file check

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

Read here for more information SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

    Hi,

I have tried booting with just the essentials and it made no difference

I have also checked the drive for bad sectors etc and is clear.

I cannot get anywhere near the stage of windows to be able to use a system file check.

I have also tried to use another hard drive. As soon as it says starting windows and the logo should appear I get a small red dot where the logo should be and the system hangs for a while
