Something not touched on yet, but would suggest to run scans (in Safe Mode) with your Anti Virus and, with an updated database, Malwarebytes' Free. Just to rule out the "nasties".

Also, when I turn my pc on for the first time, I get a BSOD and if I press the reset button it just keeps on displaying BSODs.
However if I turn my pc off after the first BSOD and then back on again, it works just fine :S

With the CI.DLL, I'd make a Puppy Linux CD to boot from. Once booted up, Go into C:\Windows\System32 and unregister/delete the present CI.DLL and register/replace it with the CI.DLL that is stored in the backup folders (Winsxs).
Quote:
To register (or re-register) a file, type:
regsvr32 <filename>.dll
or
regsvr32 <path>\<filename>.dll

To unregister a file, type:

regsvr32 -u <filename>.dll
or
regsvr32 -u <path>\<filename>.dll

I have just ran memtest at cold boot and holy crab what an error fest. at the first pass at 56% I already had like 1.5 million errors, but it only results errors at first startup.
I am going to buy some new ram today, maybe that fixes it.

I will report back.

Edit- Changed the RAM for kingston value ram and that solved the problem (for now)
