Look up the Event ID in event viewer under: windows logs>application tabs. When you find it, post a screenshot or write the event ID in this topic, so we can help you.

Hi Kicmac .... when this message appears ? Whenever you are trying to open the computer, or whenever you are trying to open the explorer, or whenever you ar trying to open any particular folder or file type ?

I am guessing your explorer crashes when you are trying to open any audio/video file/folder .... is it right ?
If so, what audio/video codecs do you use ?

You may go for a MemTest: RAM reliability tester for Windows to make it sure that your RAM is performing correctly .

In addition gradually work through these standard troubleshooting steps for Win7 to see if you can discover or fix the problem: troubleshooting steps

In particular I would create a Clean Boot to make sure no other programs are interfering. Do this by unchecking everything in msconfig>Startup except AV and gadgets. After several restarts see if anything wrote itself back in and turn it off at startup in it's program Preferences or uninstall it.

Next in msconfig>Services "Hide all MS services" then see what is running that you didnt' start yourself. Uncheck then Turn them off likewise in their Preferences, making sure they stay off after several Startups. You now have a clean boot.
