WIN 7 ULTIMATE X64

Stockpile of Bsod's.

- 64 Bit
- Win 7 Original
- Retail

- Hardware about a year young
- Os about 6-8 Months old

  • Have attached the BSOD Dump & System File Collection app results
  • Link to the Health status
HTML Code:

So I get random bsod's, after debbuging last two of them with windbg results come up as

Probably caused by : memory_corruption ( nt!MiBadShareCount+4c )
PROCESS_NAME: svchost.exe

Probably caused by : memory_corruption
PROCESS_NAME: sidebar.exe

I have ran MEM test tool overnight with no problems last month, did all the updates with windows and display drivers. Would like to know what the problem is if anyone out there could be nice enough to evaluate my attachments.

Also provided Hijack this log -

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
is pointing at freed memory.
Arguments:
Arg1: ffffffffffffffa0, memory referenced.
Arg2: 0000000000000001, value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation.
Arg3: fffff8000319b886, If non-zero, the instruction address which referenced the bad memory
address.
Arg4: 0000000000000000, (reserved)

OK, sorry for the late response, didn't have time to test everything right away.
I was holding off on the Sp1 update because I heard some negative reviews about it, so far so good. Installed the reltek update and ran the memory test for 8 hours, ended up looking at my timing (9-9-9-24) and noticed I was running in single channel mode, mind you its been like that since the build started. The reason for that was because my cpu fan blocks the first dimm port so I decided to run by color coded dimm slot 2/4, after changing to slots 3/4 Dual channel I ran memtest for another 8/hrs and it passed. Could the problem of been the way my ram was setup? As for prime95 I ran the blend mode for 9 hours without any problems. Please get back to me with some feedback asap. Thanks.

That's certainly a good possibility; the test will be to wait and see the results!

So just lay back and see any performance issues or BSOD's?
Also i don't understand why running in the single channel mode would be less stable.

Thanks

I can't say why the system is less stable running in single channel mode. Perhaps a BIOS update will fix that, or maybe there's a setting you can change in the BIOS that will do the trick.
