Error messages

That's it. There are no warning messages or error messages. Rebooted.

C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies is empty. Nothing seems to have installed.

Device manager states "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)" Again, these were the HD3600 Drivers from AMD's website. In order for the drivers to install correctly, I need to install mobility drivers. The problem is that when I do, I get the screen freezes because of that file you said was causing my BSoD. Catch 22 from hell!

Any ideas?

Ran driversweeper again, rebooted. Installed mobility drivers. Rebooted.

Driver installed but when trying to run Catalyst Pro Control Center, I got a "could not load file or assembly 'CLI.Implementation" error message. Curious.... Very curious.

Reinstalled mobility rivers (after running driver sweeper again) from the link I posted before ^^, and it installed correctly, no errors reported. This is so confusing. Why would two different manufacturer's download links contain different installation files? Or, if they don't, why would the two installations go differently given the SAME circumstances? And the biggest quest of all... WHY do the regular drivers not work for my card, why does it seem that NO ONE else owns (or at least has posted about) my card, and why for the love of god can't I find my exact card anywhere else for sale???? WTF??

Okay, rant over... deep breaths. Awaiting your reply.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64

So I actually went to the Windows Update site and after getting IT updated it finally found SP1 for Windows 7 x64, so I downloaded and installed that... still have the freeze problem. I guess I'm just going to have to live with this problem until I build a new system, because right now my computer is acting like a teenager and being really stubborn on what it lets me do to try and change it. But if anyone else has any ideas I'm all ears. Or eyes I guess, since this is a forum.
