Windows 7: Toshiba Satellite Windows 7 will not start

26 May 2011   #11

If you booted into the DVD Repair console or Repair CD and it offered a Repair right away but upon restart it doesn't start you need to boot back in, see if it discovers an installation, then use the Repair options to run Startup Repair repeatedly to see if anything changes.

If not, the same options have System Restore and a Command Line to use.

Ok. I think I follow but one more question. Im haven't created the repair cd yet. Im confused how I make it on the laptop. My other pc is vista. Is it off of the screens I get when hitting F8 or F12?

If you have another Win7 computer, type "Backup" in start search box and you will see the link to burn a Repair CD.

Otherwise you'll need to download it from the link given.

Have you tried running the Repairs first from System Recovery Options
which may be available on f8 Advanced Boot Options

DOWNLOAD the repair cd iso file.

Is your system 32 or 64 bit?

If it is a notebook it will be 32 bit
