    [Help] New PC Freezing

    Hey Guys

I have purchased a new PC with top hardware in it but it keeps on freezing randomly no errors or anything just happens when im browsing, listening to music etc. Hasnt happend yet when i've been gaming but havent been doing that much just yet.

I have gotten all the windows updates and have updated alll the drivers and BIOS

I haven't changed any BIOS settings it is all default i haven't tried OC'in any hardware yet.

When it freezes it just locks up mouse and keyboard doesn't work to fix it i have to hold the powerbutton in to shut down and start it back up again.

its starting to get really frustrating

It is not a heating problem either it has enough fans in the case and there is like no dust on the PC yet since it is new.

I really dont want to have to reformat the PC.

    Specs are:
Case - Lian Li A77F Full Tower
    CPU - Intel i7 2600k
    RAM - 2x4GB Corsair 1600MHz DDR3 RAM
    Graphics - Powercolour 6990 AMD 4GB GDDR5
Motherbord - ASUS Maximus IV Extreme LGA1166 P67
    HDD - WD 1.5TB
    OS - Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit

    any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Ryan

    Welcome

Here are my solutions to freezing, and an excellent article, which I hope is of some help
Go to search type device manager and look for any yellow warning markers
Download and run malwarebytes, a full scan after you update
    Run antivirus scan
    Check memory with memtest86
Make sure that you are not over heating.
Try in safe mode; report back if it works properly.
    Try a clean boot
Make sure PSU is working properly
    If overclocking, restore to original
Test hard drive at company website.
Test in safe mode, does it still happen?
    Try with clean boot..

Sorry my PSU is Corsair 1000W HX1000W

I done the memory test and it was fine
    HDD test came back fine
    No malware or viruses
PSU seems to be working fine im not loosing power when it freezes all the fans keep running fine.
But have noticed the Lights to my logitech G15 keyboard and the lights on my Logitech G9 mouse go off when it freezes.

I watch the time to see if that moves or anything that doesnt..

If a song is playing at the time he just keeps skipping really.

I just thought it best to eliminate an underpowered power supply. At 1000W that is not underpowered.
