Intermittent BSOD

All,

I have been getting intermittent BSOD, mainly when searching the internet. I also think some of them are happening when the PC is sleeping. I have not installed any new devices and I have run the memory test and it passed 6 times with no errors.

I am trying to attach my minidump files, but I don't have access to them even thought I have taken ownership of them ? As soon as I figure that out I will upload them

My OS is a Upgrade from Vista.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

To attach the minidump files you need to copy them into a zip folder.
Just create a new compressed folder on your desktop then copy the minidumps into it.

On a side note, if its in Internet explorer, try a new browser. I like chrome.
Also try turning off any add-ons or extra toolbars, one because they could be causing the issue, two because the toolbars increase load time for the browser.

Yeah, sorry I mainly use Firefox and it usually crashes while using it. ALso I have tried to compress the files and it keeps saying I don't have permission. I have tried to take onwership of the files and it say I still don't have access.

Hello,

The June 8 dump mentioned Norton as a probable cause. Uninstall that completely for now, and use MSE until the BSODs are fixed.

Virus, Spyware & Malware Protection | Microsoft Security Essentials

Install SP1: Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

Also, run driver verifier: Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

When you get more BSODs, please create a new jcgriff2 report and upload it.

No, I'm suggesting using MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials) until the BSODs are fixed.
