Reboot Loop After Win Logo
Hello, firstly my sincere apologies if this is the incorrect location to post this, im new here.
Also i think it would be better if read the start as it describes what happened before the active problem occured.
Recently i took it upon myself to speed up my boot time. In the process of this i messed with advanced boot settings in ms config and set it to 4 cores and memory to 40XX , after this happened i restarted my pc and got a system_bad_config_info which wouldnt stop.
Upon running all the recovery options many times i managed to log in once(somehow i managed to boot it with 256mb, i dont know how i did it) it took 20 minutes before i was able to open anything due to slowness but as soon as i could i went into msconfig and and unchecked the cpu and memory thing then applied. (I did not do the permanant thing which may have saved me from all this lol).
Ok so after i did that i rebooted and all was fine!!!! During this time all i did was reenable in msconfig normal services where it boots all startup and service items(I unchecked all the startup ones tho). After i restarted the error came back. bad_system_config_info
2 Things That May Have Gone Wrong:
1. I should have checked the make boot settings permanent and when i didnt they reverted
2. I have a corrupt service or driver that upon reenable bugged out
Note: At this point all options lead to bsod with bad_system_config_info including all safemodes
Only repair tool worked
I had also tried everything else
WHAT I DID THEN:
I went into the cmd prompt via repair tool and did the following:
bcdedit /deletevalue {default} truncatememory
This unchecked the memory option in msconfig boot settings.
I rebooted the pc and BSOD HAD GONE.
PROBLEM:
In the same boot when the bsod didnt occur, as soon as the cursor popped up, that was it.
Starting from that same boot, after every bootload a black screen comes with a cursor. The cursor i can move, however after a few seconds the computer reboots and gets stuck in this loop.
Bios > BootLoad > Black Screen with movable mouse > Seconds Later > Reboot
Please advise me as what to do. I will try EVERYTHING as i do not want to reformat as i have files on the osdrive i want to keep.
I am sure it is not a hardware error. But here are my pc specs:
i5-750 @3.4Ghz
gb-p55-ud3
2x2gb kingston memory 1333
600w coolermaster
500gb wd
500gb seagate (osdevice)
I can if needed video what is happening and provide photos of any screen required.
I hope you can help.
