    Random BSOD's

    Hi to all members!
I'm new here, so excuse me if I miss something I read all about posting BSOD's, so here you are necessary informations:

    O/S: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit
    CPU: Intel Pentium (R) Dual-Core CPU E54000 @2.70 GHz
    Motherboard: Micro-Star model: G31TM-P21 (MS-7529) Chipset: ID29C0
    Memory: 2GB
Graphic card: Ati Radeon 4670 HD

I bought this PC exactly 3rd October 2010.

So, here is the problem. My PC is working fine, and suddenly, it froze and pop-up the BSOD. As I saw, it was Memory_Management and PFN_LIST_CORRUPT. I scour the internet for a solution, and I didn't find anything. I ran Driver Verifier (Create Custom settings>Select individual setting from a full list> I checked Special Pool, Pool tracking, Force IRQL checking, Deadlock detection, Security checks, Miscellaneous checks)>then, Sellect driver names from a list and I checked all EXCEPT Microsoft drivers). I rebooted my PC and nothing happen for 2 hours.

I will attach now your requirements to solve this annoying problem. Thanks in advance!

    Alex

Nothing immediately jumped out at me in the driver list as something that would be causing this.

Despite that there are a number of noticeably out of date drivers that could be responsible though. Most of these are related to the quick cam.

All the drivers and software related to you Logitech quick-cam are horribly out of date. (pre-win 7 possibly even pre-win vista) These need to be removed or updated.
    Downloads

Something calling itself pennacle marvin bus is also not up to date (not familiar with this software or device myself)
I was able to track down a place you might find a update though
    Pinnacle Systems - Product Support

Barring those being the cause of your problem, actual damage to memory is also possible. The best way to check that is to allow memtest86 to run overnight (5 to 7 passes) info for that is contained in the following link: RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Code:
    *******************************************************************************
    *                                                                             *

    *******************************************************************************

    PFN_LIST_CORRUPT (4e)
Typically caused by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists (ie: calling
MmUnlockPages twice with the same list, etc). If a kernel debugger is
    available get the stack trace.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 00000099, A PTE or PFN is corrupt
    Arg2: 0000d944, page frame number
    Arg3: 00000004, current page state

So, is there any program that you recommend for removing drivers? Or, to use Device Manager?

Simply removing the logitech via programs and features should also remove the drivers associated with it. Unplugging the camera itself may even be enough to prevent them from loading. As to the other device as I said I'm not personally familiar with it. It's possible it controls a device your computer needs to function, just searching for a windows 7 driver for it is probably the best you can do.

I've just installed NEW drivers for my logitech web-cam, and uninstalled pinnacle (it's a program for clips, making new ones, editing, etc.). Now, I made a bootable CD-rom with Memtest, I will run it now and tomorrow I'll post here the results. Thanks man!

yeah hopefully it was just the bad drivers, if you get any additional crashes please upload the newest minidump file associated with it.
Won't need all the other info I already got just the latest minidump.

First, I want to thank you again :) I'm writing from another PC, because my PC is still on Memtest86+, and I want to inform you that I got the first error.

    Tst 5, Pass 1, Failing Address 000352e2908 - 850.8MB, Good ffffbfff, Bad ffffffff, Err-bits 00004000, Count 1

Currently, memtest is on pass 3 right now, I will full report tomorrow when it's finished, but I wanted to ask you what's my next move? Is this error causing all BSOD's? Should I buy new RAM or it can be fixed? Thanks again and sorry if I am asking some dummy questions, first experience with this problem :) Waitin' for you respond :)

Well if memtest is faulting that means the ram is failing completely independant of windows. So it's a hardware level fault. If you have more than 1 stick of ram, you may want to test them one at a time and figure out exactly which one is bad. So you need only replace that one stick.

I stopped the test on completed 8th pass (9th pass was on 1%), and it turns out it was the only one error I've written already. I have only one stick, 2 GB DDR3, and I presume I should buy a new one I'll put the RAM stick in another slot on motherboard and run the test, just to make sure if it reports the same problem. If the memtest reports the same problem, with the same failing address and everything it's definitely problem with a stick, right? Is there any chance for motherboard (slots) to be the problem? Thanks.

Hmmm... one error out of all that testing isn't exactly an enormous red flag. I would usually expect to see many errors or none at all.

Let's give the computer a little normal use and see if the problem was cleaned up by the driver fixes. It may not be completely necessary to replace the ram just yet.

...just one error hit is weird...
