Windows 7 keeps freezing when trying to hibernate/sleep

Hi, the problem I have is not BSOD related (at least that's what I think, because I haven't seen it come up).

Sometimes, when I try to hibernate or standby my computer, the screen fades to black (as it should), but then it stays like that for about 15 min, then the laptop suddenly just turns off. When I turn it on again, it reboots and says it had a system error etc.

Do you know why this is happening? Sometimes it does work, but other times it crashes.

I have a Toshiba M300 Satellite notebook, running Windows 7 Ultimate x32 (retail upgrade).

    Thanks, BL
