    Windows 7 freezes

    Hello,

I have just installed a clean install of Windows 7 64 bits on my machine and everytime I do anything related to the configs of the ATI Radeon HD5750, the system freezes. Either screen size change or else.

The system is about 1 and a half year old, but the install was made just today.

I just installed the CCC software from ATI plus Avira, Google Chrome, TuneUp Utilities and WinRAR.

My hardware has been recently tested, and my motherboard is brand new, from Asus. My memory sticks passed normally at memtest.

    Thanks for your help.

Your crash from yesterday was a STOP 0x124 which is a hardware BSOD

Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

Start off with the tests below and report back the results

    1. Memtest86 - Run for 7-8 passes - RAM - Test with Memtest86+
    2. Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until fail - https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...t-prime95.html
    3. Hard drive scan usings SeaTools - SeaTools for Windows | Seagate - Both long and short tests

My PC freezes everytime I access a Youtube video, this may suggest that the problem is with my ATI Radeon HD5750? I can run Furmark for 30 minutes, and the machine wont freeze, but it is just a matter of watching a Youtube video for 30 seconds, and voila.

Most likely not video related. Maybe network or memory related. Run the tests I listed in my first post and report back the results
