mmm.... forgot to check your kernel version, it is probably already newer than this fix...
But it doesn't hurt to try. There is one other obne you should try just i case..
Error message when a Windows Server 2008 R2-based or a Windows 7-based computer enters hibernation: "STOP: 0x0000000A"

Another thing you should try is make sure you turn off all powersaving modes (automatic sleep and hibernation), not only in your poweplan under advanced settings, but also in your devices (energysettings per device (USB,Network card etc).

Hi
Interesting update, a friend on the helpdesk at work suggested I run MemTest 86+.
I have 4 x 1gb sticks and 2 x 512MB sticks, individually they all work perfectly, no errors however if I install more than 2GB of any combination in any of the 4 sockets I get a whole string of errors from the very start of the test.
It would appear the machine is incapable of handling more than 2 GB of RAM, any ideas??

Strange, though an old system, not sure if all of it is W7 compatible, your spec's claim that the motherboard can handle 4GB. So if it gets ticked off at >2... it is either a BIOS setting that blocks anything >2...... Or you do not have 4 identical ram sticks... or two of the four slots or sticks are messed up.

Did you not have 4GB in before installin W7?
