    Random computer freezes whilst downloading

Hi all - karlsnooks requested that I post this in here

I am currently using Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit edition and just recently whenever I am downloading anything my computer will freeze for around 2 seconds and the download connection will restart to 0.00mb/s then start to connect back up to its full speed again.

This happens I'd say around every 15 minutes and has started to become very annoying as you can imagine as a large file can take hours to download when it should only take half the time.

I'd really appreciate any advice. (Reports are attached)

    Thanks a lot

Did you originally purchase this computer with XP installed? I was going to suggest updating your network drivers but looking on the Intel site it only has XP support for your network card. You can try installing those drivers and see if it helps

Hi, Yeah that computer was installed with XP and I upgraded to Windows 7 about a year ago. The problem has only just started within the last few weeks and after doing what you suggested, I thought it had worked as for a couple of days everything was fine, however since this morning, the problem has returned!

That has nothing to do with your network. That is video related. I would uninstall your video card device and then reinstall the latest divers from nvidia for your graphics card.

Hi again, thanks for your response.

I have done what you have suggested and the error message no longer appears however the computer will still pause for around 1 second and the download connection will still restart.

I would suggest posting in the networking section and see if anyone there can help out.
