Fixing Dual Boot Issue after System Restore
Ok, I am new to the forums here.. I had to do a system repair and a restore point due to getting the Vundo Virus. I had the black screen of death with the mouse cursor. Well I have the system up and running again. But here is the annoying thing. When the system boots up it goes to a black screen asking for what version of Windows 7 I want to load. Has Windows 7 and Windows 7 Ultimate (Recovered). The first Windows 7 choice is the only one that works and the Recovered one does not do anything. Just makes the system reboot. How do I go about removing the Recovered selection so that Windows 7 automatically loads??? I had my friend who has a BS Degree in IT from Michigan State look at it and he can not figure it out either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. I did see several posts about having a partition and removing that and what not posted here for the dual boot systems. Problem is that I do not have a dual boot system. Only one partition.
